Paul McCartney: Got Back Tour at the Alamodome

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!

Large Attendance Expected for Return of Paul McCartney to the Alamodome

Fans Encouraged to Plan Ahead, Arrive Early to Avoid Traffic, Parking Complications

SAN ANTONIO (October 20, 2025) – A return engagement 32 years in the making takes place Saturday, October 25, when the legendary Paul McCartney takes the stage at the Alamodome again. A crowd of more than 45,000 fans is expected for the concert, which begins at 8 p.m.

In May 1993, the former Beatle served as the first concert at the newly opened Alamodome.

Because of the expected large crowd for McCartney’s “Got Back” Tour stop, in addition to a crowded schedule of events in and around downtown San Antonio, fans are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early for the show to avoid potential traffic and parking complications.

The H-E-B Plaza opens at 2 p.m., with merchandise and food and beverages available. Doors to the Alamodome open at 6 p.m.

Parking will be limited at the Alamodome, but there are numerous parking and transportation options available for fans. They include:

  • VIA Metropolitan Transit’s Park & Ride service will be FREE from 3 p.m.-midnight on October 25. It takes place to and from VIA’s Crossroads (151 Crossroads Blvd., 78201), Brooks Transit Center (7903 S. New Braunfels Ave., 78223) and Lots 6 and 7 at the Frost Bank Center (3205 E. Houston St., 78219). For information, visit the VIA website.
  • Alamodome parking lots B and C will open at 2 p.m. and is $60 per space – first-come, first-served, credit card only. Suite-holders will park in Lot C. Lot A, which also opens at 2 p.m., is for ADA parking and ADA drop-offs and pick-ups only.
  • Reserve off-site parking through ParkWhiz by Flash. ParkWhiz, which controls more than 25 lots within a five-mile radius of the Alamodome, allows guests to book and prepay for parking online through the “Know Before You Go” section of alamodome.com and through Ticketmaster at checkout. Prices vary depending on proximity to the venue.
  • There is also available downtown parking at other city garages. For locations and information, visit the CCDO website.
  • For those parking in downtown garages, VIA will offer its Primo Route 100 shuttle service to the Robert Thompson Transit Station (183 Montana St., 78203) adjacent to the Alamodome. There is NO COST. For more information about VIA services, visit the VIA website.
  • Ride share is available to and from the Alamodome. The dedicated ride-share drop-off and pick-up locations is Lot D, on the west side of IH 37/Highway 281 between the Tower of the Americas and the Institute of Texan Cultures. A suggested route to the concert is to take ride-share to the Frost Bank Center, Lots 6 and 7, and take advantage of the FREE VIA Park & Ride route from there.

Smith at the Tobin Center, 7:30 p.m.; French Police at the Aztec Theatre, 8 p.m.; Avatar-The Last Airbender at Majestic Theatre, 7 p.m.; and two conferences with 7,000 attendees at the Henry B.
