NEW YORK & MEXICO CITY (Wednesday, September 17, 2025) – The World Cup-bound national teams of Mexico and Paraguay are headed to the Alamo City in what will be the Mexican Men’s National Team’s final appearance in Texas before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the 120th match in the 22-year history of the MexTour.

The Federación Mexicana de Futbol (FMF) and Soccer United Marketing (SUM) today announced that the 2025 Concacaf Nations League and Gold Cup champion Mexico will host recently qualified South American side Paraguay on Tuesday, November 18 at the San Antonio Alamodome (kickoff time TBA).  The MexTour match will be played during the November international FIFA window, allowing both countries to bring their full-strength squads as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be played in North America next summer.

Tickets for the match will go on sale to the general public this Monday, September 22 at 10 a.m. CST at SomosLocales.com.

The November match will mark the sixth time Mexico plays at the Alamodome as part of MexTour, and the first Mexico match in San Antonio since September 2019, when they faced Argentina.

Mexico is powered by AC Milan forward Santiago Gimenez and Fulham striker Raul Jimenez.  The team is led by manager Javier Aguirre, who has faced Paraguay twice, once as a player at the 1986 World Cup (1-1), and as a coach in the 2001 Copa America (0-0).

Paraguay clinched their spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup earlier this month, marking the ninth time “La Albirroja” will compete for the global title.  The squad is led by Atlanta United forward Miguel Almirón, Strasbourg scorer Julio Enciso, and Palmeiras center back Gustavo Gómez.
