2025 Valero Alamo Bowl Delivers $37.1 Million Impact on San Antonio
—20th time in last 21 years game’s impact over $35 million—

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The 2025 Valero Alamo Bowl featuring TCU and #16 USC generated a total economic impact of $37.1 million for San Antonio last year and brought 29,873 visitors to town, according to a report conducted by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC.
Excluding the 2020 game, which was played with restricted attendance due to COVID-19, the Valero Alamo Bowl has generated more than $35 million in total economic impact in 20 of its last 21 games.
The report also indicated an average length of stay of 2.6 days with 25.7% of the out-of-state guests making their first visit to San Antonio.
Other highlights from the 2025 event include:
- The Valero Alamo Bowl’s second-highest television audience of the past six years: 4.9 million viewers, peaking at 6.4 million
- The second-highest attendance for a non-CFP bowl game: 54,751
- The highest combined team payout in bowl history at $10 million
- A record $1.28 million in scholarships awarded to 183 students representing every San Antonio area high school and university
- A dramatic overtime finish, marking the fourth OT game in Bowl history and the second-longest overtime walk-off touchdown in NCAA history
