Show offers guests a multitude of new products, exhibits and features – February 25th – 27h

(February 21, 2011) SAN ANTONIO – Where can you find the latest in home décor, learn how to landscape your yard, sip great selections of Texas wines and beers and meet celebrity home improvement experts Frank Fontana from HGTV’s Design on a Dime and Roger Hazard from A&E’s Sell this House? All this and more can be had at the 31st Annual San Antonio Home & Garden Show, coming to the Alamodome for a three-day run, February 25th – 27th.

Over 400 exhibitors are expected to showcase their home and garden-related products and services during the 2011 San Antonio Home & Garden Show. Recognized as one of the largest and most prestigious Home & Garden events of its kind in the country, this buyers showcase boasts hundreds of exhibits from San Antonio’s finest Home Improvement companies offering an unrivaled selection of the newest home improvement solutions and the hottest design trends from the highest quality providers of home, garden and lifestyle products available on the market today.

Celebrity home improvement experts Frank Fontana and Roger Hazard will be making several appearances over the three days offering free seminars on low-cost decorating options and creative techniques to make the home more functional. In addition, they will share decorating tips and ideas with fans and will entertain questions about their shows, decorating and design.

In addition to the celebrity appearances, the show will also host award-winning sand sculptor and Guinness Book of World Records holder Ted Siebert, from The Sand Sculpture Company, who will create an over 15 ton sand sculpture throughout the weekend, which will make for entertainment for the whole family. To date, The Sand Sculpture Company has literally built hundreds of award-winning sculptures across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, New Zealand, and the Caribbean.

Another highlight of the show will be the Food and Beverage area, which will showcase the great wines and beers of Texas and and will offer complementary tastings. In addition, show attendees will enjoy live cooking demonstrations from local chefs and nutritionists like Eva Nestor Alcantar, RD, LD of Nutrition Aware, Hoss & Festus Cookers, and Texas Brew Salsa.
Now in its 31st year in San Antonio, the Home & Garden Show is the largest and best attended show of its kind in the Alamo City. This year’s show will be held in the Alamodome at 100 Montana Street. Show hours are from 2 PM – 8 PM Friday, February 25th; 10 AM – 8 PM Saturday, February 26th and 11 AM – 6 PM Sunday, February 27th. Tickets are $9.00 for adults, children 16 and under receive free admission. Special pricing of $6 for seniors 65 and over and $6 for active military. Tickets can be purchased at the Alamodome box office from February 25th – February 27th.
