Stars&Stripes Over San Antonio
The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce will host the third annual Stars & Stripes Over San Antonio event in downtown San Antonio on July 4. The event will be held from 6 - 10 p.m. in Alamodome Parking Lot A. Live music, food and beverages, and the city's largest and longest fireworks display starting at 9:30 p.m. Admissiom for the event are is $2 for those 13 and over. Those with a valid military ID will get in free. A new addition to the program on the stage will be a naturalization service, when approximately 20 service men and women will be sworn in as new citizens. No streets will close for the event. The fireworks will be centered just east of the Tower of the Americas, and will be visible for miles. They will be the highlight of the evening and include the largest shells in the city and a full 20 minute show, choreographed by music broadcast on Q101.9 and the iHeart Radio app. The event will also feature inflatable castles, bungee runs and obstacle courses along with face painters and balloon artists in the H-E-B Kid's Zone. Live music throughout the evening will be provided by The Klocks. There will be plenty of beverage booths and food options including some ready-made food booths and several of the city's most popular food trucks.
